How we started and who we are
A note from the CEO:
The beginning: As a mom, I understand the need for effective, affordable language-learning programs. After years of searching for the right option for my family, I realized I needed to find a way to give my children the second language skills they deserve. So, in 2019, I founded Little Lions Learn to offer, fully immersive, online Spanish and English classes.
Things have changed: As homeschooling continues to gain momentum, Little Lions Learn has become the go-to source of support for families who are making the choice to educate their children at home. With a wealth of resources and support, Little Lions Learn helps homeschool moms navigate this exciting and rewarding adventure. As a former educator, making the decision to leave the traditional school system to homeschool my own children was not an easy one. But, I believe it has been the right decision for my family. In response to the increasing number of families seeking homeschooling options, I wanted to put my educational expertise to use by creating a program to help them. Above all, that’s why Little Lions Learn is shifting to support and empower homeschooling families with an online community and learning options beyond Spanish and English as a second language.

About Khara Sandoval: She currently lives in Arizona, USA. With a master’s in education from the University of New Mexico, her hometown. She is TESOL certified and licensed to teach in three U.S. states, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas grades K-12. Passionate about homeschooling and second language instruction, Khara has over thirteen years of classroom teaching experience. She also has over eight years of online teaching experience. Her deep understanding of education, and the current turmoil in our nation, led her to homeschool her own family, leaving the traditional school system behind. With a wealth of expertise, Khara is well-prepared to help support homeschool families in their homeschool learning adventure.
Kristy Crandall – COO
About Kristy Crandall: She currently lives in Colorado, USA, and is a second-generation homeschool mom of five. She is the author of multiple books, including The Science of Homeschooling. She believes that experience is the best teacher, and in the importance of mentorship and a “village” to support a family in raising well-rounded children and reinforce positive values. She is excited to help support parents and students alike at every phase of the homeschool journey and knows that it can be a positive and relationship-building experience for everyone involved. The decision to homeschool can be overwhelming at times, but it has lifelong and multi-generational implications. She looks forward to being a part of your village!
